This past year has been a journey of learning, growth, and discovery. The title says it all: ruthless and clarity. Turning 30 has taught me the importance of being unwaveringly honest with myself about what I want and having the courage to pursue it unapologetically.
For a long time, I’ve wrestled with the feeling of being “behind.” It’s easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you’re not where you’re supposed to be. But here’s what I’ve realized: in hindsight, it all makes sense. There’s a divine timing to everything. If I’d achieved or acquired certain things earlier, I wouldn’t have known what to do with them. I wouldn’t have been ready for the changes they brought. Instead of dwelling on the “shoulda, woulda, coulda,” I’ve learned to find joy in the now. Let me share what being ruthless and finding clarity means to me.
Ruthless
Achieving equilibrium and internal peace has been a long-standing goal for me. This year, I realized that to truly maintain that balance, I had to be ruthless about what—and who—I allow into my life. Protecting the reality I’ve created for myself is non-negotiable because the limiting beliefs and perceptions of others can easily seep in and cloud my own.
Being ruthless doesn’t mean being cruel; it means setting firm boundaries. And not just with others—with myself, too. It’s about enforcing those boundaries and being comfortable prioritizing my well-being. It’s learning to say what needs to be said and embracing silence instead of filling the space to make others comfortable. It’s knowing myself and always considering the source of advice or criticism. This year taught me the value of being intentional about my energy and my time.
Clarity
Clarity has been a game-changer. For the first time, in 2024, I found direction in my career. Gaining clarity about the path I wanted to take gave me the focus to pursue it wholeheartedly. Clarity is not just about knowing what you want; it’s about taking deliberate steps toward achieving it. It’s about aligning your actions with your goals and trusting the process.
But clarity isn’t a one-time thing. It’s an ongoing practice. My curiosity keeps me moving forward, pushing me to learn, grow, and explore. I’m not here to sell an image or a lifestyle; I’m here to share my passions authentically. If I’m going to influence anyone, I want to inspire curiosity—the desire to seek, find, ask, and receive.
The Beauty in Life
This life is challenging, but it’s worth it. Hard times will come, but strive to stay in the frequency of love. I know it’s a sentiment that gets thrown around a lot on social media, but it’s true. Everyone’s journey is unique, but we all have access to joy, peace, and fulfillment.
Find beauty in the smallest things—a morning breeze, a kind word, a moment of stillness. Those little things sustain us through the pendulum swings of life. Even in tough times, remember that you are love, and love is all around you. Embrace it. Share it. Live it.
Here’s to living authentically, ruthlessly protecting your peace, and pursuing clarity with courage. Welcome to the journey of being 30.
